Job Title: Interface Coordinator
Job Summary:
The primary focus of this position is to support the Interface Manager in the coordination, management, and tracking of interfaces and technical queries as part of the successful execution of a project or defined scope of work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and reporting using software including Omega PIMS and Excel.
Responsibilities:
Interface Coordinator essential functions include, though are not limited to:
- Assist in tracking and managing technical, design, and project interfaces between disciplines and external stakeholders.
- Support the Interface Manager in ensuring all interfaces are identified, documented, and resolved efficiently.
- Facilitate communication between engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and clients regarding interface issues and resolutions.
- Manage interface-related data within the Omega PIMS system, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information is available.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of interface registers, ensuring they are properly updated.
- Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate complex problems to the Interface Manager.
- Create and maintain complex spreadsheets for tracking and reporting interface status, issues, and resolutions.
- Develop Excel models and reports to provide meaningful insights and analytics on interface progress and potential delays.
- Generate regular interface status reports for internal and external stakeholders including data visualization (charts, graphs, etc.).
- Ensure that interface-related documents are properly stored and easily accessible to team members
- Provide general administrative support to the Interface Manager, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an engineering environment.
- Experience with floating production systems or offshore engineering is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Outlook for communication, scheduling, and collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Fluent in written and verbal English. Other languages are assets.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Visio, Power BI, or similar tools used for data management and reporting.
- Familiarity with the offshore oil & gas industry, particularly in the design and construction of floating production systems.
